PJ Heat Exchanger Services can arrange the collection of heat exchanger plates from customers' sites, including the dismantling and re-assembly of the plates where necessary.
All plates are given a unique reference number which identifies the plates through the cleaning process. This ensures that the plates you receive are the same ones despatched for service.
Heat exchanger plates undergo a 'checking-in' procedure which determines the type and number of plates in the pack. This information is logged for future reference.
All gaskets are then carefully removed from the plates.
Heat exchanger plates undergo a chemical cleaning programme.
They are immersed in an alkali and then acid bath.
Plates are rinsed off using a high pressure washer.
The plates are thoroughly checked before undergoing dye penetrant testing using ultraviolet light to detect pinholes and fine cracks.
A visual inspection is then carried out to check for wear and pitting, and all channels are checked for deformation.
New gaskets are clipped or bonded to the heat exchanger plates.
Different glue types are used as required
All heat exchanger plates are clamped to ensure correct alignment and,
if necessary, are then cured in an oven.
Plates are re-checked to ensure adhesion has occurred and gaskets are correctly aligned.
After final inspection, all heat exchanger plates are boxed ready for despatch. Where required, we can provide installation
